Pam Friedman None of the characters in this story are Brothers nor are any of them related to Brothers or Bastards. There are a few allusions to The King and couple of other characters from the BDB world, but only as place markers to secure the story. This story stands on it's own and is not a 'teaser' to future BDB books. I LOVED this story!

Stace POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT... and this is only my POV, but the description of Silas's eyes and reference at the end to him having a missing brother, tell me there is a HUGE connection to the BDB and if I am correct... I CAN'T WAIT!!
Khrystyna this book is standalone, and is only set in the bdb world, however has nothing to do with the brothers. here are 2 Vampire civilians, living a civilian life. no brother-ly connection at all. I did wonder myself if your not an aristocrat nor a brother and u don't work in the healer's clinic, how does everyone else make do/keep the roof over their heads, so I guess we'll see.
the plot line reminds me a bit of Ehlena and Rev's story though, so did the Shadows as well.
Crystal Dodd xcor isnt going back to old country
Catknipnd With the reference to Silas being obligated to return to the Old Country, he is probably one of the Band of Bastards and will be going back with Xcor.
Xera Thank you everyone for the answers. Guess we have our answers by now. And I'm quite disappointed and wished more from Ms. Ward. Well, those who have not read Dearest Ivie, enjoy your reading!
Joanne To answer the question about Xcor's band, they are Zypher, Syn, Balthazar, Syphon and, formerly, Throe.
Alex Hristova The name seems familiar, but i can't put my finger on it.
Catnipnd, i don't recall Xcor's people's names, but 1) they are not ordinary names, just like BDB and 2) even if he were, we now know that the band is going nowhere {;
Esra no one important I believe . maybe it's some kind of preparation for the thief.
Mullen Natalie Nope, not as of right now.
