are you queer? I only ask because Georgia Peaches handled Jo's sexuality in such a realistic way, it wasn't the lazy "i'm gay and i hate myself" plot like so many other books have when written by straight authors. amazing book though!

Yes indeed! This is most definitely an #ownvoices book. Thanks so much for your kind words. Giving Jo a happy ending was always in the plans. Though harder stories have a needed place in the canon, I needed a happy book at the time I wrote it. Thanks again for saying hello!

Just popping by to say I loved Georgia Peaches. It was suggested to me by a friend of a friend in an online conversation about the challenges many Christian LGBTQ+ people face in trying to integrate their identities with an authentic practice of their faith. As a cis/het Unitarian Universalist, I'm really grateful for Jo's story. Thanks for writing the book. Will you be writing other YA fiction soon?
