hi! i love your book 'the meaning of birds' has it ever popped up in your mind of it becoming a movie?
Jaye Robin Brown Thank you so much for your kind words! And yes, I would absolutely love it if ANY of my books were chosen by a film producer. What a dream! But sadly, that is something out of my realm, so unless my agent brings me an offer, well...we'll have to keep using our imaginations to picture Jess and Vivi and the rest of the cast. But as a reader, I find that immensely satisfying as well.

Just popping by to say I loved Georgia Peaches. It was suggested to me by a friend of a friend in an online conversation about the challenges many Christian LGBTQ+ people face in trying to integrate their identities with an authentic practice of their faith. As a cis/het Unitarian Universalist, I'm really grateful for Jo's story. Thanks for writing the book. Will you be writing other YA fiction soon?
Jaye Robin Brown Thank you so much. The intersection of faith and sexuality is certainly a continuum of tolerance. I'm very thankful that many are rethinking and opening arms wide. I have 2 other YA books currently published, NO PLACE TO FALL and THE MEANING OF BIRDS and a fourth is releasing in April 2021 titled THE KEY TO YOU AND ME.

Hi, I was jus wondering, will Meaning Of Birds get an audiobook release?
Jaye Robin Brown I've not yet heard about an audio deal for TMOB. MY 2nd book did come out an audio book this year, a full 2 years after release, so we'll wait and see. Though I know this doesn't help you now.

are you queer? I only ask because Georgia Peaches handled Jo's sexuality in such a realistic way, it wasn't the lazy "i'm gay and i hate myself" plot like so many other books have when written by straight authors. amazing book though!
Jaye Robin Brown Yes indeed! This is most definitely an #ownvoices book. Thanks so much for your kind words. Giving Jo a happy ending was always in the plans. Though harder stories have a needed place in the canon, I needed a happy book at the time I wrote it. Thanks again for saying hello!
