Lois Lowry:
My daughter introduced me to "The Giver" when she was in 7th grade as it was her required reading at the time. She is now 26 and I can honestly say reading that book brought to me the love of reading all over again. I am now a librarian, and I want to take this oppertunity to thank you.

But when it comes to the real world, do you think that there’s a good balance between government protection and personal freedoms?
