Zoya's always one to comment on Alina and Nikolai, much like Mal. She's the one who takes greatest offense at the Lantsov emerald being given to Alina, even after the proposal. Ever since S&S it's seemed pretty likely, especially since Alina is always talking about how ridiculously beautiful Zoya is, and then how talented and handsome Nikolai is, it seemed inevitable.(less)
