I thought she was funny, and her lack of a filter was incredibly relatable. And of course I completely adored Nikolai, because duh. It’s Nikolai. Now that I’ve finished KOS I can officially say I’m a fan of the Nikolai/Zoya pairing. They see the world from two different extremes, so they balance each other out. And I love the fact that they’re friends, and that they’ve been friends for a few years now. They know each other backward and forward, they genuinely enjoy each other’s company, and they’re always joking with each other. I think one of the most important foundations in a romantic relationship is friendship, and Nikolai and Zoya definitely have that going for them.(less)
