First off, sorry it took me so long to get back to you.
The working title of my current one is God of Night, but that probably will change. I haven't come up with an elevator pitch / back-cover blurb that won't get me sued for trademark violation, but the following should get the basic idea across.
If you can imagine Looney Tunes doing a noir detective story about a grizzled, bitter, mean-as-hell incarnation of Scooby-Doo investigating the Exorcist, that would be the general ballpark. So, mystery, a dash of horror, hopefully at least somewhat moving and of course deeply weird.
It's not related to Mount Char, but it's kind of similar in that it's set in the modern world. (Georgia, specifically.)
I don't want to over-promise because I've been so wrong before, but I really think it shouldn't be too much longer.

Why would you write a sequel to your beautiful novel? It is perfect the way it is. There are too many series in the world that end up petering out because the authors writing them do not know how to write an ending, or they're unwilling to walk away from the characters they've created. Write more stories like it, but with new characters?
