I just found it boring after an intriguing beginning and I really didn't care about the characters anymore after that. I',m almost 50 so maybe I'm too old for books like this that focus on high school kids and vampires, but I've read books geared to much younger readers that were a lot better than this was. I watched the movie (and read the book) only because I read that they take place in my part of the world (the Pacific Northwest) but even that didn't make me like this series any better. Sorry but that's my opinion and although I get what you mean about people not being allowed to hate this book, the statement seems kind of shallow and selfish. But everyone has a right to their own opinion so I'll leave it at that. (less)
