Why do people hate this book so much? They should't even be allowed to

I don't like "Twilight" for the reasons I listed above, the constant, endless streams of detail gets annoying, tedious, and makes it hard (for me) to visualize things--I don't even know what Edward looks like despite the constant descriptions of him on every other page... Edward can also be considered as a pedophile, an abuser, and as a creepy stalker. This whole story isn't good for teenage girls to read because it pretty much sends the message that you don't need to have hopes, dreams, and aspirations in life--as long as you have a man to take care of you, none of that matters. If you don't like my opinion, come after me all you want, but just know that a licensed relationship therapist reacted to the movies, and said that the whole thing is toxic and abusive. You can watch him react to them on Cinema Therapy(less)
