Should I read this book? The first three are my favorite books ever and I want nothing more than to have fifty more red rising books until the end of time. But I love Darrow, and from the reviews I've seen it looks like he goes down a dark path in this book and I don't want that to ruin the experience of the other books for me. Please give me some advice.

The book is really a set up to what is going to be happening in the next two books of the new trilogy and there are really no climatic points in this rather big volume. The story lines are not as intense as those in the first trilogy, and characters are not evolving outside their expected behavior. The Morning Star should have been a logical end of everything in that universe...(less)
