Goodreads asked Vincent Varghese:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Vincent Varghese The only advice i can give to aspiring writers = 1. To write as much as you can. It doesn't matter whether the writing is good or bad. Don't try and be perfect. Just write until your fingers can't move anymore. Slowly over time, you will get better. Writer, Review, Rewriter, Review, Rewrite - this is an endless process until you feel you can't improve upon it any more. Then move on quickly to the next story/book/novel. 2. Don't be afraid of public opinion or criticism. Become immune to it. You've done the best you can, you've put your heart out there. If despite that someone criticizes you, it's a reflection of their life and their emotional/mental state not yours. So be courageous and publish your work. Don't be afraid. I've wasted a lot of years trying to overcome the fear of criticism. Now i just don't care.
