It was an idea i had about 11 years ago about the lives of 5 individuals who end up working in the same company - their journeys, their emotions, their challenges, fears, angst and suffering. I didn't get the courage to publish because i feared "what others might think" and "what if i'm criticized and hated". It took me a long while to finally get the courage to write. The horrifying rape and eventual death of a young girl on a bus in a big metropolitan city in India was the catalyst that gave me the impetus to write this book - "New Hunters at Imperial Guest House"

Writing to me comes from within. When i feel strongly about something - i end up putting it into a story and then writing naturally flows from there. In the "Hunter series", i was really affected by all the violence, harrassment and discrimination happening against innocents worldwide - especially women. That moved me to a point where i just had to write about it.

I'm currently working on another book in the same "Hunter Series"

The only advice i can give to aspiring writers = 1. To write as much as you can. It doesn't matter whether the writing is good or bad. Don't try and be perfect. Just write until your fingers can't move anymore. Slowly over time, you will get better. Writer, Review, Rewriter, Review, Rewrite - this is an endless process until you feel you can't improve upon it any more. Then move on quickly to the next story/book/novel. 2. Don't be afraid of public opinion or criticism. Become immune to it. You've done the best you can, you've put your heart out there. If despite that someone criticizes you, it's a reflection of their life and their emotional/mental state not yours. So be courageous and publish your work. Don't be afraid. I've wasted a lot of years trying to overcome the fear of criticism. Now i just don't care.

The best thing about being a writer is that you're able to connect to many people without knowing them. I write with a lot of love and to be able to connect to people and to be able to touch their lives is to me the greatest thing about being a writer.

I'm an intuitive writer. Most of my writing comes from my heart and so it's usually high conviction writing. I'm unable to write when i don't feel strongly about it. So i write only when i have all the ideas that i want to put down - clear in my head. This makes writing much more difficult because you need a lot of things to be in place. A silent room, no disturbances, no distractions, clear head, calm mind and so on. Despite all this when i get writer's block - i go for a walk or a head massage or something physical where i get to spend time to myself.
