Hi manny. I want to become a mathematician but I'm a slow thinker. Is it necessary in math to be fast? Also, what books can you recommend if I aspire to be a mathematician?

Manny Rayner Most mathematicians I know seem to think quickly, but there are some great mathematicians who have said they are slow thinkers.

It's hard to recommend a book without knowing what level you're at. If you have some basic algebra, Derbyshire's Prime Obsession is very nice.
