Where Anne of Green Gables is funny and lighthearted, while also being heartfelt and sad at times and it makes you care so much about the characters, Anne With An E is melodramatic, devoid of humor or heart, not true to the books except for the concept, and it takes itself way too seriously. And everyone hates Anne for some reason. In the book, all the girls like her, but in the Netflix series it's like she is constantly trying to get them to like her. It's just another thing to be dramatic about I guess. Why can't she just have friends, Netflix series?!(less)
