Do you want each book to stand on its own, or do you want connections between each book? Also, if you could tell your younger writing self anything, what would it be?

Gretchen McNeil Most of my books are stand alones, which means the characters and the worlds have no connection to each other. The exceptions are my two series - GET EVEN and GET DIRTY in the Don't Get Mad series, and #MURDERTRENDING which will have a sequel out in 2019.

As for advice to my younger self, I think one of the most important lessons authors need to learn is not to judge themselves by the paths of other authors. Their book deals, their successes, and their failures do not in any way affect YOU. So keep your eyes on your own paper, and you'll be a much happier author!
