How do you get inspired to write?

David Partelow Honestly, inspiration can come from anywhere if you are open to it. You can be reading a good book, or watching a movie or having a great conversation etc...as a writer, you often have to take a scenario or subject matter and ask yourself what if? And then you have to nurture that inspiration. I will write down the idea, try to add details and find music that guides and drives that inspiration. Don't shake off inspiration, even if it seems small or silly at the time. You have to give yourself a chance to see where you can take an adventure to.
