Do you need to have read the other Harry Bosch books before this one for it to make sense? Essentially can it be ready by itself? Thanks

References…moreAs others have stated, you can read any of the books out of order. However, after doing so, I went back and read/reread the books in order. References made in later books, while not necessarily important to the current story, were interesting enough to add to the whole picture of Bosch. I’ve quickly caught up and am now waiting for the release of the latest Bosch novel!(less)
