Thank you! I am so glad you are enjoying the Winternight books. One of my greatest anxieties going in, honestly, was how it would be received by my Russian friends (and Russians in general). I have so much love for this history and folklore and I really really wanted to at least begin to do it justice.
As to your specific question, that is an interesting theory. I have a pretty strict no-spoiler policy, because it's more fun to experience a book than to be told in advance. I will only say that Book 3 is drafted (yay) should be out next year (yay) and is fantasy, not historical fiction so really anything could happen. xx
