Do I need to read "after you" before I read "still me"? Based on the reviews of "after you" I sort of want to avoid it at all costs.

Even though you would probably not be lost in the 3rd book without reading the 2nd, you would miss a lot of references and not really have the connection to the 1st. I would still read it.(less)
