"Purebred" (due out by the end of the year) gives the background of the two main characters of the other books - Vanarra and Sahnassa. I loved the dynamic between the two characters in the other books - how sincere and earnest Sahnassa's loving friendship is with her boss and Van's terrible weak spots combined with her generous heart! To take all of the events and side mentions and little bits of color revealed about their pasts and weave it into one narrative was challenging and is likely why "Purebred" is truly among my favorites as far as what I have written!
