You're right. There IS a special edition Journal 3 included with blacklight, and so much cool stuff. Unfortunately, that came out in June 2017, and can only be bought by 3rd party sellers, who are asking for a ridiculous amount of money. Anywho, with the regular book, you cannot use blacklight, but you still get the cool stuff. The Special Edition just makes it more like the show. Hope this helps.

Wish I seen your answer before I tested it out myself... my hopes were really high then just dived down the second I looked at one of the blank pages with a blacklight
