There are only a couple of scenes that describe Humbert and Lolita having sex, but it's not as salacious as you would expect, given the novel's reputation.

What IS disturbing is that you find yourself empathizing with how hopelessly obsessed Humbert is with Lolita.

However you feel about the subject matter, the book is extremely well written, but that's Nabokov. (less)
