How do you deal with writer’s block?

Luke Green Just continue writing. I know that sounds silly, but the only way you can get yourself out of it is to work through it. There were many times that I wouldn't know where the chapter was going and would almost let the characters write their own lines. This was great and many times a new idea would spring to mind and I then explored that little arc. I guess I threw out the rule book and just wrote to please myself. I let my story take many twists and turns that was never intended and I feel its a better story for it now.
