The character development …moreI'd for sure recommend reading the others first, or at least starting with #2 since that's when Jessica Reel is introduced. The character development is a lot more meaningful if you've been following the entire story. Sure, each book has its own standalone plot, but there have been some details that carry over from book to book as well. I actually found myself going back to the previous one to refresh my memory on certain events this book was referencing, so if you were to read it by itself, there might just be some places where you're a little lost.(less)
