Charl asked Jonathan P. Brazee:

Just finished Sniper and really enjoyed it. I just have one tiny little quibble; twice you referred to "diffusing" a situation. Normally the phrase is "defuse the situation", like defusing a bomb. Did you intend to use the different word, to imply usage had changed in the future, or was it a malapropism? Regardless, I enjoyed it, and I'm going to read Gladiator to find out about them.

Jonathan P. Brazee Charl, I'm glad you liked the book, and I hope you like "Gladiator." And the use of "diffusing" was a mistake, one that slipped by both my editors and me. Thanks for pointing that out, and I will get that fixed.
