Just finished Sniper and really enjoyed it. I just have one tiny little quibble; twice you referred to "diffusing" a situation. Normally the phrase is "defuse the situation", like defusing a bomb. Did you intend to use the different word, to imply usage had changed in the future, or was it a malapropism? Regardless, I enjoyed it, and I'm going to read Gladiator to find out about them.

Charl, I'm glad you liked the book, and I hope you like "Gladiator." And the use of "diffusing" was a mistake, one that slipped by both my editors and me. Thanks for pointing that out, and I will get that fixed.

Did you change editor(s)? While I liked "Noah's Story: Marine Tanker", it seemed to have a lot more editorial errors. Most were missing words or misused words. For a glaring example, when the Division was getting ready for a Pass and Review near the end, it said that Major Stanley H. Carrigan was the commanding general. Leaving out the word "General" is pretty significant for a military book.
