I read e-books on an iPad and mostly get them from iBooks. The indications of genre in 'Library' view are all over the place: "Penric's Demon" is labeled 'Historical', "Penric's Mission" and "Paladin of Souls" 'Epic', "The Curse of Chalion" 'Paranormal'. Of course many others are better labeled. I suppose that you are not the decider, but do you have any influence? And who does decide?

I have neither influence, nor control, nor in most cases even knowledge. I have no idea who is responsible for the genre or subgenre labeling in catalogs, but if it is individual library systems or even individual vendors, it could be all over the map. I'd call them all "Fantasy", myself.
Or "Bujold books".

Hello Lois! First of all, thank you for your books. I have enjoyed them a lot. Now, my real question/thoughts. The Miles universe is pretty big. The lore is astonishing (and I LOVE a good lore)... But I think it is pretty much there, waiting for a good story to be written. For example, something about Piotr on the First Cetagandan War. Also, how would you feel about opening Miles universe to another author?

Hi! I'm a fan of your books (both Five Gods and Vorkosigan) and heard you were on a panel about The Untamed! I was wondering if you have watched or are interested in the show Nirvana in Fire, a court intrigue drama that is considered one of the best Chinese TV shows ever? My wife and I keep thinking of some similarities to Vorkosigan due to a physically disabled hero who keeps an intrigue plot moving in creative ways.
