How do you get inspired to write?

A.C. Miller Inspiration can come from just about anything. I can be listening to music and have to throw my headphones across the room to run and find a pen and write down everything going through my head; or, I could just be aimlessly staring off into space and something will jump into my head that I need to add to my current story.

In other words, inspiration, to me is this fleeting thing I can never truly see, but comes to me when I least expect it.

I think the only real way for me to obtain inspiration knowingly is through film. Whenever I see a new movie, I'm in awe by the ideas it took to create it, and that usually leads to me writing for hours on end.
