I can't wait for your new Sookie Stackhouse short stories to come out. What made you write about vampires?

I wanted Sookie's life to be full of wonderful things, as well as awful things. It wasn't so much the vampires I wanted to write about, as Sookie's reaction to them. I am so happy all the short stories are collected into one book.
