Private question: I just joined Goodreads as a children's books author and noticed a "Thank You" pop up from you! (I really liked your books and rated a couple of them. I will add the rest!) How were you able to send a "Thank You" like that? I really loved your fresh story, I like dragons, I liked the setting, and I liked how there wasn't any graphic violence or graphic sex. You audio book narrator was PERFECT!

Oh, man -- I have no idea how I created a "thank you" popup! I honestly didn't even know I had one set up. I must have done it years ago; it definitely wasn't a recent move. I'm sorry I can't be more help on that! Delighted to hear you've been enjoying my work, though. (And yes, Kate Reading is *phenomenal* and the best possible narrator I could have hoped for.)

Thank you so much for interacting with your fans! Another world building question: what do you imagine was Jacob's oceanographic discovery that got him into the Colloquium? And did he and his mother ever partner up with any field work as adults, ie was there any overlapping project in their work?
