A group of magicians comes to town looking for an ancient treasure. Our child protagonists get involved with the magicians and start working for them in exchange for magic candy. They realize that they didn't understand what they got themselves involved in and try to back out and stop bad stuff from going down. Will they succeed? Spoilers, yes. :D But it is such a fun read with a good twist at the end.(less)
