Jodi Taylor Hi Lynda, No I don't have any sort of plan or layout in my head. It's a bad fault of mine but I don't really plan ahead. I only ever meant to write one book - Just One Damned Thing - and in the original version they all died at the end. Fortunately, I was plied with alcohol and persuaded to rewrite. I do have to say that, occasionally, this lack of planning does come back to bite me. But thank you so much for thinking I'm organised enough to have a head canon.

Later in the series (I'm reading "No Time Like the Past") it seems that historians interact a lot with contemporaries, whereas in the first book, History would zap them if they tried to interfere with the course of events. Is this because when Max nearly dies and Mrs Partridge dumps her into a parallel world, the rules about interaction have changed?

I have read all your books. They make me cry/laugh each time I read them, I restart the series each time a new full book comes out. Luckily for me I started reading late in the series. How do you pick the events in history? I am in the US and in my 60's so I really don't know much of English history and I love it. Any thoughts about doing other countries?
