Sure, I shopped at others (Target, Carters, Gymboree…moreI had my first child in 1998 and my second in 2004, and yes, Babies R Us was the main baby store. Sure, I shopped at others (Target, Carters, Gymboree, Old Navy, Marshall Field's (Chicagoan) and Carson's) but Babies R Us was near my suburban home and it had EVERYTHING you could ever need for a baby and it was heavily advertised in all of the parenting magazines out at the time. So, perfectly normal place to go and definitely was NOT a discount store! They carried all of the main baby brands at the time.(less)
