Goodreads asked S.A. Chapman:

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

S.A. Chapman It started with a typewriter at my brother's house. I sat down and wrote a scene. I just bashed out some words, and through various edits, those words turned out to be the opening chapter of my upcoming book.

The premise of the book came from a series of obscure dreams, intertwined with my own personal musings and studies of Nature, Science and the innate mystery of the universe and existence itself.

Chaotic Nature's struggle for an Orderly perfect symmetry - or an Orderly Nature's resistance to an all degrading Chaos - inspires me to write about said struggle and the obscurity of whether it is Order of Chaos that reigns supreme.

The warlike and combative nature of mankind in its endless struggle between Law and Order (of which both right and left wing politics are but are two hands on the same puppet) wherein a general/average good is imposed - and the Anarchistic state of free will and free action wherein the strong subdue the weak, has had a major influence on this book and the series in general.
