Hello good folk,

My name is Simon Andrew Chapman. I am a man of many hobbies and interests. My primary profession is that of a Security Consultant - with an emphasis on Aviation Security as well as the management of Insider Threat. My other profession is that of an Author - but I loosely use the term profession, as that would entail making money. HA!

I began my writing 'career' in primary school when I first started creating board games for my friends and brothers. My first game was called 'Search' (currently being made into a video game), and used a Squad Leader (shout out to anyone who knows this game) board and my own hand drawn card based equipment system, with many equipment/items being utilised from Battlelords of the 23rd Century

DON'T DO IT! IT'S A TRAP!

If you don't heed these words and proceed otherwise, because you feel that beyond the trap lies something great - then you are a writer.

Therein lies my first piece of advice - don't always listen to the advice of others. Do what you want, follow your instincts - but always be ready to bear the consequence of your actions. Don't shove the less-fortunate out of the way in the pursuit of your own endeavours.

If you proceed to write for fame, glory or accolade - you may be a writer, but you are most likely doomed to failure.

If you proceed for the sake of creating something that may or may not provide entertainment or knowledge, then you will never fail.

Lastly - don't you dare get someone else to write you work, then take the credit (ghostwriting). If you do, you are a fake and a travesty to all that an author is and should be. (less)

I tell them to go for a walk... Just kidding.

As I have a full-time job and write as a side-venture, I don't really see/feel such a thing as writer's block. I have no writing deadline or requirement to write. I either write, or I don't. When I become inspired, I write something.

This is probably the main reason it has taken me seven years to finish one book.

S.A. Chapman is on page 110 of 398 of Junderfell: Book is pretty good so far. Reminds me of old school Dragonlance/D&D modules/Elder Scrolls. Great characters and a gravy like plot thickening. Look forward to see what comes of it!
