Dennis E. Taylor Copyright is a funny thing. I think I'd be in more trouble if I actually made Homer take on the cartoon persona in the story. Merely taking his name and referencing the character would be a bit of a stretch, especially considering the number of other productions that get away with saying "DOH!"

As for killing off Homer, the book needed to have some heightened stakes for Riker, and I needed to make the point that the Bobs COULD permanently die.

Hi Mr. Taylor, I stumbled on the Bobiverse books by "accident" (thanks Amazon) and I think they're terrific. One of my favourite short stories is "Rammer" by Larry Niven. Though I realise that once past the initial bits, "We Are Legion" goes in rather a different direction, was it in any way an inspiration? Regards, Andreas
