Even before finding the blog post above, there were certain eccentricities that stood out to me like the suspicious lack of black market activity, period accurate antisemitism (though this is addressed a few times at least), and the "party-hard" mentality German soldiers had in Paris. I can accept some omissions since it's a work of fiction, but it does lose the setting a little by doing that.(less)
