Can you tell us a two-sentence horror story?

David Wong I had answered this with "yes" and nothing else, because I thought that would be funny, but Goodreads threw up an error message saying they don't allow short answers to questions, which is idiotic.

Like it literally won't allow you to do it. Bizarre.

JDaTE definitely defies genre with all its different mythologies and conspiracies and creatures. Was it part of the plan for it to end up as a genre fusion or did that just sort of happen on its own?
