Denise asked David Abrams:

Do you outline?

David Abrams Denise:
I'm more of a go-with-the-flow-of-the-words kind of writer. Thus far, I haven't sat down and sketched out a formal plot outline for my novels before I've begun--other than the vague, fuzzy shape in my head which tells me where I generally want the story to go. I like to be surprised along the way.

Sometimes, as with "Fobbit" and my as-yet-unpublished Hollywood satire "Dubble," I will outline the plot *after* I get a draft done. I'll go back over what I've written and make timelines and connect the dots between characters and plot points--but mostly as a matter of making sure there are no inconsistencies.
