Did the book leave any other reader questioning if Hill House was haunted? I know there were sounds and apparitions but I can't help feel that I, as the reader, have been duped. I see Ms. Jackson smiling in her grave right now.

Was the house haunted, if not then who was writing on the walls and banging on the doors. Was Eleanor really there or was she the one that was haunting the house? Who stole the gold rimmed dinner set? Was Theo bi-polar? So many questions.(less)
