Hi Clare, big fan of your books. I was wondering what the general process is for you when writing. From coming up with an idea to physically writing/typing the words, what stages are involved? Thank you and have an enjoyable day.

Clare Mackintosh Hi Noah! I spend several months mulling over an idea before I start writing, and getting to know my characters. When I start writing it takes about four months for the first draft.
