What inspires you to write series?

Cynthia Wright Doris, you may know that when I began to write (in 1976), there were no series. It just happened that readers asked for more stories about the Raveneau and Beauvisage families, and so I wrote them over the years. And when I began to publish these titles as ebooks, I put them together in series. Now, I'm beginning a new series set in Scotland and I am going to construct a plan for 3-4 books - in advance - which should improve the experience for me and for my readers!
