Sean-patrick Burke asked David Abrams:

Do you have a time or word quote for your writing days, and what is it typically?

David Abrams Sean-Patrick:
I am marvelously inconsistent in my writing habits lately. Between blogging (at The Quivering Pen) and working my regular 40-hour-a-week Day Job, my creative writing time gets squeezed down to mere slivers of time. So, with that in mind, I don't have any set goals of minutes or word counts when I do manage to make the time for these short, sharp creative outbursts. A really good day will see me harvesting 2,000 words; other days might see me producing only one or two sentences. Oddly enough, those single-sentence days are sometimes the most satisfying for me.

I generally begin my day at the keyboard--whether it's working on my novel, writing a blog post, or just falling into the internet's rabbit hole--at 4:30 a.m. and finish up somewhere around 7:30 or 8.
