In Christopher's mother's letters, I find that she often misspells words. On page 107, for example, she writes 'lonley' instead of lonely: "And I felt realy lonley." But for some reason she writes it correctly on page 108: "Which meant that he was feeling lonely too." Is there a purpose for these misspellings? Because even after she corrects herself she still continues to misspell words (pg. 111: 'sholder,' 'squots.')

However, Christopher, being the literal person he is, chose not to omit the typos because he was describing the letters exactly the way they were written, even though I am quite certain he had identified the mistakes.
