Goodreads asked Doug Limbrick:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Doug Limbrick This has never been a big problem for me. I sometime get to a point where I feel that a part of the story is not right. Usually this means for me that its a bit superficial or lacking credibility in my eyes. If I can I will leave that part and move on knowing that I need to go back to it. If that is not appropriate I will take a break from writing as I don't think its helpful to just sit and try for inspiration. I may go and do some more research or read my notes again or think about how a complete restructure might help. Sometimes its best to walk away and have a rest - listen to music or read what others have written.
