Not sure if you were asked this already but where do you get your ideas/inspirations?

Taylor Jenkins Reid From all over! I am very inspired by other stories I'm reading or watching or listening to. The idea for The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo came while I was reading about Ava Gardner's lost memoirs.

I'm also inspired by feelings. When I have a feeling or a life philosophy I'm struggling with -- or see someone else struggling with -- I think of ways to tell that story through a totally unrelated character.

I think my favorite part of writing is the inspiration part, when the idea comes to you and you start mulling it over and seeing what you can make of it.

Evelyn Hugo was my first book of yours that I have read-and I absolutely loved it! I can’t wait to read all your others! What I loved most about the book was highlighting the different types of love and marriages. Where did you find the inspiration for all seven of Evelyn’s husbands? And the other loves of her life?

Hi Taylor, I love the complexity of your plot in all of your stories but particularly in your latest, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo (I loved every word of this book btw). Did you come up right away with the idea of constructing the story as you did, i.e. having Monique's POV and then having Evelyn tell the story? It works so well. I just finished the book on an airplane today, and I miss your characters!!
