How do you get inspired to write?

Emma Johnson I love taking an everyday irritation, picking it apart to its root sociological core, understanding the history, context and politics surrounding it, and constructing a solution. For example, I often feel frustrated that my kids are always underfoot, don't play freely outdoors like I used to, which restricts my time and money, since they seem to require that much more time with me. This led me to question why we are all spending so much time with our kids, why they don't have as much agency as a generation ago, the facts about whether they are safe to be alone out of my eyesight, the laws and policies surrounding this and what my own suggestion, based on these facts, is for other parents.
