I started reading it with that knowledge so I wasn't disappointed in that respect. However, what absolutely floored me was the descriptions of the gore, murder scenes, autopsies, etc. I was not prepared for that. In fact, I had added all the books to my "to read" list, and just deleted all of them. Maybe in the future, I may feel strong enough to read another one, but for now, not so much. (less)
