Louisa Black
Louisa Black asked Aria J. Wolfe:

Having read your book 'The Coalition' [which was great!] do you draw on any personal experiences that help you plot out a story line or character in a novel such as fantasy/ dystopian?

Aria J. Wolfe As crazy as it sounds, I sure do! A lot of the characters have particular aspects of my personality woven in: (Shai: stubborn, feisty, Aliah: protective, introspective, loves deeply)
I do a complete character analysis before I begin writing, which means I know everything about each one even if it's never mentioned in the novel. I know their favorite colors, foods, and hobbies.
As for the plot, I drew on the passion of Christ (that He laid down His life because of love even in spite how He was treated and misunderstood) and on the fall/reconciliation of the first man Adam.

Thanks for asking!
