I actually read a book way more violent (and unknowingly had sexual situations in it-oops) in second grade. I was fine and still am(I'm 14 now). I think it was due in part to The fact I was expected to act mature and I wanted to read more 'mature' books. I don't mean R or M rated (I didn't even know of 'R' rated movies) but just more grown up ones.
But yeah, most likely NO.(less)
