Yes, a special edition was released on June 13, 2017. The journal 3: special edition includes all the content from the regular edition plus invisible ink writing, roughly cut parchment pages, a glass monocle, a leather tassel, removable notes and photos and an autograph from Alex Hirsch himself! Unfortunately the journal 3: special edition was limited print and it is now sold out, you could probably find someone reselling a copy on eBay for a ridiculous price though.
